Less waiting for Reward Points
It'd be nice if we got them the day after hero battles, rather than having to wait a good 3 weeks. Don't you think?
I mean, it's all automated... Not like they have to do it by hand.

Do they not have to set it up for it to give it out - hence why it occured with an update and not just the designated day of the month *first thursday* - or am I wrong?

I thought it was the 2nd Thursday?
Anyways, either way... My original point still stands. Does it need to be x weeks after and not x days?

It is "suppose" to be first thursdays, but builds are pushed back to second thursdays usually - along with the reward points. hence the "designated" part.
I personally don't mind but I can see why some people would be.
Would be liked but not needed - of course I can say that for everything I guess.

Why does it matter on wich day you get them?
You won't get more if you get them the day after....
And you still have to wait 1 month for the next ones...

My thoughts exactly, there's still 1 month between them, regardless of when you get them.
And this reward system is awesome, don't question it on the off-chance that they remove it, and then we will all be forced to come with torches and burn down your house with you inside.

It isn't pointless... T.T
It would be much neater to get a reward for who you voted for a day after it happened rather than half way into the next monthly. I dunno, maybe that's just me? I don't even remember who I'd voted for the previous month by the time the rewards come in though. At least if it was sooner, the actual results would be fresher in our heads (as if it's hard to remember rawr got #1 and hb was completely random).
Anyways, I just think it'd be better for continuity if they were closer together.
It isn't a big change, I doubt it'd be hard. Wouldn't really affect much either.

Well, think of this: there are thousands of accounts. Everyone did different predictions. So the server must calculate RPs for each of them.
It really adds up. You want it to be done faster = more servers or more powerful server required. Frankly, I'd rather wait a little bit more and have GW lag less (haha).
And I suppose there's a reason they do it with build update. Pushing builds without actually dedicating staff to check so there's no game crashing is kind of bad. It's just more efficient or, well, cheaper to run it with normal build update they're currently doing.

I don't remember who I've voted for the day after I submitted them. It's roughly the same guilds that are always in the top 10, and to be honest, I don't care much about which one has won. I'm just here for the easy cash.
So I'd say Anet probably has a good reason that we don't now about to not give out the RP's the day after the battles. Could be the time needed for calculating, like Dmitri3 voiced.
Either way, I'm not signing this because I really don't care about what day of the month I'll get to sell my ZKeys, as long as it's once a month.

You get points once a month. Does it matter what day you get them, and what day the MAT ends? Nope, you will still only get them one time each month. If there was a reason for wanting them SOON after the MAT ended, and one that made sense, I'd consider it. But nothing has any effect on how many points you get, or how much money you get for selling your z-keys.

When you're being given free stuff (which can equal 100's of plat) the first thing you shouldn't do is ask for it when you want it.
Abusing the privilege of the XTH is really only going to result in it being removed. Then the people that /sign will be right back here or wiki suggesting XTH be brought back.Anet will laugh at you..

Pointless thread is pointless.
"I remember back in the day when we had to actually work for our fake monies, you whippersnappers have it far too easy these days, what with your zkeys and PvE skills."
But yea, if you need money now, go farm. Don't expect a-net to hand you your armbraces on a silver plate, even though they've come so close to it.

I don't care when I receive my points. But I do wonder when they are going to release the points this month. It used to be on the first or second Thursday of each month, when the update got released. Since they have said now that they will update the game every 3-4 months, I wonder when the points go out.

Major projects every 3-4 months, skill balance(if needed), bug fixes and rewards are still on a monthly basis.
@Op If it would stop the stream of "when will I get my points?" threads, I would probably sign. But sadly, it won't and the next idea to pop into Sardelac would be "why can't they hold the MATs earlier?"
Pointless is pointless.

Exactly.... and well all know when we get them... no need to change this....
Hell I'd like all my points together for HB and GvG not split...

The guild wars community needs to learn patience (ie, look at all the "OMGZ WHERE IS GW2!!! threads).

Consider learning to wait a week a valuable life lesson.

Valuable life lesson? Seriously, stop trying to sound like you're above OP. There's no harm in making a suggestion.
I cited some of the possible reasons why there's a wait time, but you're trying just trying to sound... never mind, consider figuring out what you just did and it will be a valuable life lesson to you.
